THE CAITLIN COOPER CUPS 2009
Tournament Rules (FIFA rules with the following amendments).
1. (a)
A maximum of 20 players per team squad.
(b)
Your club endorsed team list names will be issued to your team on day 1 of the tournament at the 
coaches meeting. The team sheet to be completed and returned to the officials table no less than 15 minutes before the teams first match.
(c)
No further names may be added to that list.
(d)
A late arrival must ‘sign on’ at the Tournament Coordinators Office. (WAA teams only).
(e)
A player whose name is not on the ‘club endorsed’ team list may NOT participate at the tournament.
2.
16 players per team per match. A maximum of 5 interchanges per match (injuries included) is permitted via the referee at half way.
3.
Players may play for one team only. (no transfers from team to team)
4.
Incase of a tied situation the following tie breaker system will apply, in order until a clear result is at hand…
•
Goals for minus goals against… Highest total wins
•
Most goals scored… Highest total wins
•
Result when the teams last met….winner progresses
•
A penalty shoot out under FIFA rules.
5.
All teams must be ready to start their match on time. 2 minutes grace will be given to any late team before a forfeit is granted to the opposing team, provided that that team is on the field and ready to play. A 3-0 result will be posted in favour of the attending team. (very exceptional circumstances may prevail)
6.
All teams to supply a FIFA approved match ball.
7.
Shin pads and suitable foot wear are compulsory.
8.
Referees decisions will not be entered into.
9.
The organizing committee will determine any Protests/Disputes in accordance with these rules and the “Match Rules” relating to the appropriate age division.
Match protests/disputes, in written form, must be in the hands of the officials within 10 minutes of the matches end. Tournament protests/disputes, in written form, will be deliberated on by at least two tournament officials.
All protests/disputes must be secured with a $150.00 deposit that will be forfeited if the protest/dispute is dismissed. There will be no appeal to the decision.

In the result of a colour clash, the toss of a coin shall decide. Winner chooses.
11.
Red cards 4, 5, 6 and 7 issued will result in the immediate dismissal from the field and the following match
suspension for the offending player or team official. Red cards 1, 2 and 3 will result in an immediate dismissal from the field and suspension from the following 2 matches.
12.
Any player or team official who receives two red cards of any kind during the tournament will be disqualified from the tournament (see attached legend). The accumulation of 3 yellow cards during the tournament shall result in the next match suspension for that player or team official. A fourth yellow card will see the offender before a judiciary of his/her peers to give reasons why that person should not be disqualified from the tournament.
13.
Number changing is prohibited and is limited to a goalie replacement only. Team coach/manager is to advise the referee if such an alteration/change occurs.
14.
Coaches/Managers/Trainers and reserve players must remain in their team’s technical area unless otherwise called onto the field by the referee. No other persons (supporters etc) are allowed into the technical area.
15.
Any team or team official that is deemed by the organizing committee to be in breach of these rules (accidentally or intentionally) will be asked to explain the circumstances of such a breach and, on consideration by the organizing committee of those circumstances, the organizing committee may inflict a penalty on that team or team official that may vary from a simple caution to disqualification from the tournament.
16.
Prize money cheques will be made payable to the club that the team represents.
17.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to refuse the entry or registration of any team or of any individual for any reason. The Organising Committee also reserves the right to exclude any team, any players, any team officials and any team spectators at any time throughout the tournament. This action would only be contemplated following a display or displays of unsatisfactory behaviours, on or off the park.
18.
Any team in any age division that qualifies for either prize $$, prizes, or trophies and does not have a minimum of 10 players present for the presentation of such mentioned prizes etc, shall forfeit that or those prizes and/or prize $$$. (very exceptional circumstances may prevail).
19.
For Caitlin Cooper Cup teams only...
(a) No "guest" player may be a representative player that has represented at an Association, Zone, State or higher level in the past 12 months.
(b) Any player, in any age division, who has represented at State or National level or a player that has been selected to play at a State or National level in the past 12 months will be considered ineligable to participate in the Caitlin Cooper Cups.
NB: Our fiscal year is 1st October - 30th September.
ALTERATIONS and INTERPRITATION of these rules is at the discretion of the organizing committee.
